National Electrotechnical Training

National Electrotechnical Training (NET) is the former National Training Organisation (NTO) for the Electrotechnical industry sector.

NTOs have now been replaced by Sector Skills Councils (SSCs), which cover a larger industry footprint. Since December 2003, SummitSkills has been licensed as the SSC for the Electrotechnical, Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration and Plumbing industry sectors.

NET remains in existence but many of its key responsibilities have been transferred to SummitSkills.

NET's primary function is now to manage the administration of the Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2).

Whilst SummitSkills establishes its administration structure, NET remains responsible for issuing Modern Apprenticeship Certificates. This function, however, will soon transfer to SummitSkills. To download a Certification Request Form click here.

With the exception of the AM2 and Modern Apprenticeship certification, all enquiries should be made to the SummitSkills Careers Advice Line: 08000 688336, or can be emailed to enquiries@summitskills.org.uk.
